SLINKACHU – LITTLE PEOPLE PROJECT
Check out London based street artist Slinkachu.
His Little People Project has been running since 2006 and is a combination of tiny street art, illustration and photography. It’s a brilliantly simple idea where he creates tiny scenarios using modified miniature people usually used in model train sets. They are left on the streets for passers by to find.
‘The street-based side of my work plays with the notion of surprise and I aim to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings”
You might remember him from his 2008 project ‘Inner City Snail’ where he used snails as a live moving canvas. Snails were painted and then released back into the community where they were left to shimmy about with a funky new ‘shell do’
His new solo show ‘Concrete Ocean‘ will be opening at the beginning of March at Andipa Contemporary gallery in London.
