I’m so looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of ‘Mine Is Yours’ as its the first time the band have worked with an outside producer. Jacquire King – who’s previously worked with Kings of Leon and Modest Mouse is said to have made this record flow a little smoother then the previous two without compensating the ever impressive high impact, rough edged vocals of Nathan Willett.
Lets hope they’ve not lost that abrasive bluesyness that makes them what they are. A little more Modest Mouse and a little less Kings of Leon…?
I cant wait! ..here’s the latest single ‘Louder Then Ever’ from the new album and below is the classic ‘Hang Me Up To Dry’ from their epic debut ‘Robbers and Cowards’ Enjoy.
Oh! and they’re playing KOKO on the 23rd February AND Shepherds Bush Empire on the 16th May!

Author Rob Penn travels around the world collecting hand-built parts for his dream bicycle and charts the social history of one of mankind’s greatest inventions.
It’s an interesting watch with some really great old footage. Rob does get a little irritating towards the end and there are a few parts on his bike that he doesn’t go into much detail on, but its made up for by the trip to the Brooks factory…amazing.

While on tour in the US, Jamie ’XX’ Smith talked in-depth to Martin ‘Blackdown’ Clark about ‘We’re New Here’, his remix album for Gil Scott-Heron.
The interview was organised for the sleeve notes for the record, writen by Clark, but none of the quotes made the final cut. Clark has now posted the full interview on his blog, where Jamie reveals that he was approached with the project by XL boss Richard Russell, off the back of his 2009 remix of Florence and the Machine’s ‘You Got the Love’.
